Uttar Pradesh: 15 students of residential school in Saharanpur taken ill after having mid-day meal

Saharanpur: Fifteen students of Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential School were taken ill reportedly after consuming a mid-day meal in Gangoh area.
Health department sources said the students of the school in Mehngi village complained of vomiting and nausea after having dinner on Sunday night. "They were admitted to the community health center," they said.
Doctor in-charge Rohit Walia has admitted 10 students under the supervision of pediatrician Dr Manvendra, five were referred to the district hospital in serious condition on Monday morning.
Though the warden of the school Mukesh Devi refused to comment, students have complained of being served stale food. Dr Walia said prima facie it seemed to be a case of food poisoning. (UNI)
