WATCH: Man thrashed for kissing wife while bathing in Saryu river in UP’s Ayodhya; video goes viral

Terming the act as vulgar, a group of youth abused and thrashed a man for allegedly kissing his wife in public while bathing at Ram ki Paidi in Saryu river in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya. Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media platforms since Wednesday evening.
In the viral video, the man was seen being dragged out of the water by a youth and later surrounding youths hurled abuses at him, some slapped him on his face, and showered blows on him. “This vulgarity will not be allowed in Ayodhya,”' one of the youths shouted.

Shailesh Pandey, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Ayodhya, said that the video is a week old and they have not received any complaint so far in this regard.
“We are trying to identify the couple. We will take action if a complaint is lodged,” added the SSP.
