Raipur: As many as 18 Maoists, who were allegedly involved in the killing of 25 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in the recent Burkapal ambush, were arrested by security forces in two separate counter insurgency operations in Sukma district, police said today. Ten ultras, including a Janmilitia commander Podiyam Kosa, were yesterday nabbed by a joint team of District Force and District Reserve Group personnel from Chintagufa where 25 jawans of 74th CRPF battalion were martyred on April 24.
In another operation, eight rebels, including Naxals' Chetna Natya Manch commander Madvi Ayutu, were arrested from Chintalnar Police Station limits by CoBRA, DF and DRG personnel.
