Kochi: Two Australian women tourists were booked by Fort Kochi Police for destroying pro-Palestine posters put up by the Student Islamic Organisation (SIO).
According to the police, one of the them allegedly tore up a poster blaming Israel for its attack on Palestine. The incident was reported at Kamalakkadavu on Monday evening.
The issue came to light after the SIO activists staged a protest march to the police station on Tuesday evening seeking action against the Australian women. Following which, the police filed cases against them under IPC Section 153.
