According to police, Sekar (50), a resident of Thiruvottiyur in North Chennai sold camphor for a living. Though married with children, Sekar had a relationship with one Pavithra (24), a resident of the same area.
Recently, Pavithra informed him of her decision to get married to another man and broke her relationship with Sekar.
Upset over this, Sekar has been blackmailing her with their pictures as he was against her decision to get married.Last evening, the duo decided to meet and talk things out at a ground
near the Port Trust.
While they were discussing, Pavithra, who was armed with a knife,stabbed him on the neck and fled. Sekar chased her on his two-wheeler, but he lost consciousness and collapsed on the ground.
He was rushed to Government Stanley Hospital, where he was declared dead.Police arrested Pavithra and registered a case. (UNI)
