A Couple arrested for attempted conversion gets Bail

Hassan:  A person was arrested here and later released on bail for allegedly trying to convert people to Christianity. The couple were taken into custody on a complaint lodged by the Bajrangi Hindu Parishad after Manu Dhananjay admitted to trying to convert people to Christianity. "Manu admitted that he had been trying to convert people to Christianity after we (Hindu activists) confronted him.

We informed the police who took Manu into custody," Bajrangi Hindu Parishad President Sushit Kumar said. Manu's wife Veena was also arrested for allegedly speaking against Hindu religion at the police station. The couple were released on bail, the police said. A case for outraging religious feelings was filed against the couple. Meanwhile, a video on social media showed Manu being hit by Bajrangi activists even as he pleaded for mercy, saying he was carrying out a task given to him. (UNI)
