Aam Aadmi MLA worth 130 crore, IT raids Kartar Singh’s residence

New Delhi: In what could trigger a fresh confrontation between the Centre and Delhi Government, IT officials have raided the office of Aam Aadmi Party MLA MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar and recovered from him unaccounted wealth worth Rs 130 crore, sources said today. Earlier, the IT officials recovered unaccounted cash and jewelry of Rs 1 crore from Mr Tanwar, who was earlier with the BJP. Mr Tanwar termed the raid on his office and the alleged recovery of unaccounted wealth by the IT Department as “witch hunt” by BJP-led NDA government. According to sources, account books with Tanwar revealed a number of transactions for buying farm houses in Chattarpur and Ghitorni.

As many as round 12 AAP lawmakers have either been arrested by the police or were facing allegations in different cases since the party came to power in Delhi on February 14 last year.
