Another honour killing in Hyderabad, Man brutally stabbed to death in public

Hyderabad: In another 'honour killing' in Hyderabad, a 21-year-old man was brutally murdered by unidentified persons in full public view in front of his father on Friday night over an inter-caste love marriage.
Fifteen days ago, B Nagaraju (26), a dalit and sales executive was murdered by his wife’s brother and a relatives belonging to Muslim family as the brother opposed the inter-caste marriage.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Neeraj Panwal.
He had married Sanjana from another caste and blessed with a two-and-half month old baby boy.
On Friday night at 1930 hours, when he was riding motorcycle along with his father as a pillon, four unidentified persons attacked Neeraj and stabbed him to death at a fish market.
Meanwhile, Sanjana held dharna on Saturday morning by squatting on the road along with her relatives before Shahinayathgunj Police Station by demanding justice and stern action against the culprits.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjana alleged that her family members, including brothers, murdered her husband. She said that threats have been coming from them since they got married.
With the assurance of BJP MLA Raja Singh, the family members of Sanjana called off the dharna.
Meanwhile, four persons reportedly were taken into custody by the police.
Further investigation is underway, police added. (UNI)
