COVID-19: UP govt allows restaurants to open with 50 pc capacity, relaxes night curfew

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday announced further relaxations in corona curfew across the state from June 21, including revising night curfew timings and allowing restaurants to function with 50 per cent capacity.

Under this, restaurants, parks and street food shops have also been allowed to open from June 21 with some restrictions.

After holding a review meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath told media persons that the night curfew of the state government will be relaxed for two hours and will now be effective from 9 pm to 7 am the next day.

Restaurants can be opened with 50 percent capacity in every district of the state following Covid protocols.  Along with this, permission has also been given to operate all parks and street food etc.

Establishment of Covid Help Desk at all these places will be mandatory.  A register of visitors will have to be made.  It will have name, address and other details.  Along with shops, vegetable markets will also be able to open till 9 pm.  The administration will open the densely populated vegetable markets in open places.

Mr Adityanath has directed that detailed guidelines regarding the protocols will be issued soon. (UNI)
