Curfew continues in Rajasthan's Karauli after communal clashes during 'Shobha Yatra'

Karauli (Rajasthan): Curfew continued for the second day in Karauli city of Rajasthan after tension broke out due to stone-pelting at a 'Shobha Yatra' (motorcycle rally) in the city on Saturday.

The situation in the area still remains tense but under control. The police personnel are carrying out the flag march in the area.

Besides, the higher officials of the police department also keeping a close eye on the situation and trying to restore normalcy in the area, according to police.

The police appealing people not to step out of their homes unnecessary. Drones are also being used by the police.

At many places, police forces have also been deployed. Meanwhile, internet service is suspended at the district headquarters to stop rumours.

Notable, following the incident of stone-pelting and arson on a motorcycle rally on Nav Samvatsar on Saturday, tension broke out in the city and subsequently, the curfew was imposed to maintain law and order situation.
