Saharanpur (UP): Now the students of Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband, living in different hostels, will not be allowed to attend coaching classes outside the campus and if any student is found doing so he will be expelled from the institution.

Rector of Darul Uloom Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani and Head Master Maulana Arshad Madni said that it is being observed since long the students living in hostels, who take taking admission in the institution for religious religious education, were enrolling in the coaching institutes outside the campus. "This distracts the attention of the students and they are deviating from the religious education for which they have come here," they said.

Madani said that religious studies are a bit difficult. "For this the students need a separate time to remember the lessons that are taught to them in the classrooms and it has been observed that during that time many students go outside to attend coaching classes," he said.

He said that in such a situation a student either scores less marks in the examinations or he fails. "In such a situation, it is the first responsibility of the institution that the students should first imbibe the education for which they have enrolled with full devotion and dedication. They can do whatever they want once their studies are complete," he said.

Rector Mufti Nomani and head master Madani made it clear that students violating the new instructions would be expelled from Darul Uloom. They hoped that the students of the institution would strictly follow these instructions.

Meanwhile, Madani said that the confusion is being spread that Darul Uloom has banned the education of English and other languages, which is not correct.

Both the high officials of the institution said that good quality English education is available in Darul Uloom. "The institute offers a two years computer course along with other subjects, including Mathematics, Geography, History, Hindi and English are taught in this institution," they said.

The Rector said that the basic education which the institution offers is of Islam religion and the main goal of the students, who enroll here from all over the country is also to get authentic Islamic education from Darul Uloom. "The institution is also important because of its unique quality in the country and the world," he said.

Mufti Nomani said that Darul Uloom is not making any kind of change in the education imparted in the institution. "Education continues as before. The department of English is not being disbanded, nor is its study being banned. Prohibition is being imposed only on studying separately by going to the training centers opened outside the institution," he said. (UNI)
