Pune:A homeless minor girl,who went missing on Tuesday from the Pune Railway station area, reportedly died on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the state-run Sassoon Hospital.
The deceased victim was found in a train compartment,said Railway Police,and added that she bore brutal injury marks on her body. According to police,unknown accused abducted the girl as she was sleeping on road pavement along with her parents,who are Baramati natives.
The girl was raped and physically assaulted before she was dumped into the train compartment,stated police.
The Railway Police has transferred the case to the Bund Garden Police Station,and a suspect,alleged to be involved in the ghastly crime,has been detained.The victim's parents sell vegetables near the Pune Railway Station,and sleep on footpath,informed police.
