Lover accused of the murder of GF and her mother hangs himself

Thane: A 26 year old man who was wanted in a case of a double murder in Panvel and was on the run committed suicide by hanging himself to a tree on Sunday the Navi Mumbai police said.
Sr. PI Ajaykumar Landge of the Panvel city police station told this correspondent that the deceased Prakash Yeshwant More, had on February 19, stabbed to death a mother and daughter at Panvel the police said.
 
The accused More was a resident of Paheni of Hingoli district and was in love with the girl which was opposed to by the family members of the girl. He was also not not allowed to meet her and hence it was on the ill-fated day he stabbed the duo Surekha Siddharth Balkhande, 37 and her daughter Sujata Balkhande, 19 to death at Dapoli in Panvel. He slit their throats and killed them and the police had then registered a case under section 302,324,341,449 and 397 of the IPC against the accused.
 
More was a neighbour of the victims, and wanted the marry the girl after the death of his wife. The family of the girl had rejected the proposal. He had then threatened to end his life. Even after the death of his wife he had attempted suicide which was stopped by the locals.
 
He was originally from Hingoli by resided in Panvel of Navi Mumbai.Immediately after killing the duo the accused fled the scene and went into hiding.The Navi Mumbai police had formed several teams in search of him and one team was despatched to his home town.
 
IT was on Sunday he had posted a messatge in the Face Book account and also called his mother that he was committing suicide. Based on the information the police carried out a search in the locality the forest officials informed the police that one man had hanged himself to a tree in the jungle.
 
The police official said further that the police who rushed to the scene confirmed that the body of the person who was hanging by the tree was that of the wanted accused More. It was in the limits of the Narsi Namdeo Police station of Hingoli the incident had taken place and the body was sent for a postmortem to the government hospital at Hingoli and a case of accidental death registered the police said.(UNI)
