Panna: Even as doctors are endeavouring to save the eyesight of an ‘acid attack’ victim, the 20-year-old woman’s younger brother remains untraceable two days after the incident.

Police said that the affected family hails from Baraho village, about 70 km from here. The woman is undergoing treatment at an eye hospital in neighbouring Satna District’s Chitrakoot.

On Tuesday, two persons took the siblings to a forest, assaulted them and poured an acid-like liquid into the woman’s eyes. Relatives rushed her to the Primary Health Centre in Pawai from where she was referred to the District Hospital.
