Money laundering: ED questions Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate on Monday questioned Trinamool Congress MP and General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee -- also the nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee -- on charges of alleged money laundering.

Informed sources said Abhishek Banerjee was called in connection with a coal scam in West Bengal. He and his wife Rujira have been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate to Delhi on March 21 and 22.

In September last year, Abhishek Banerjee appeared before ED officials and was questioned for over eight hours. (UNI)
