Mother elope with her lover after killing her 6-month-old son in UP

Lucknow: In a bizarre case in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district, a woman killed her 6-months old son and eloped with her lover, police said here on Friday.

The sensational killing came to notice only on Thursday evening when the in-laws found the woman missing and later they found the body of the boy lying under the bed.

SSP Bulundhshahr Santosh Kumar Singh said on Friday that preliminary investigations revealed that the boy had been strangled to death by the woman who later threw him on the floor with full force to make sure that he was dead.

Reports said that one Danish, a resident of Syana in Bulandshahr was away for work and his wife along with his infant son were at home. On Thursday night, when she did not pick up the phone, her in-laws went to enquire and found her missing. They later located the body of her son lying under the bed after which they informed Danish, who returned and called the police. Danish lodged a report claiming that his wife was having an affair and she killed his son and eloped with her lover. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.

Meanwhile in two separate cases reported from Deoria and Moradabad, men killed their wives alleging that they were having relations with other youths.

In Deoria, one Dileep Bharti, a resident of Jamshada locality got married to Sunita during a mass marriage ceremony in November 2019. The couple were having differences right from the time they got married. Dileep suspected that his wife was having relations with other men. Few days back, Dileep went to Delhi in search of a job. On Friday morning, Dileep returned and had a dispute with his wife after which he brutally beat her with a stick injuring her critically. Her family rushed her to the hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival. The family members informed the police and a hunt was launched to arrest Dileep.

In another case in Moradabad, one man walked into Kundarki police station on Thursday night and told the policemen present there that he had killed his wife and had come to surrender. He told the policemen that his name is Harendra, and his wife was Diksha, whom he had married two years ago. Few days back, Diksha went back to her parents' home.

On Thursday night, Harendra said he went to his in-laws house on the pretext of bringing his wife back. But after leaving his in-laws house on the way he shot dead his wife and later surrendered before the police. Harendra claimed that his wife was having an extra marital affair with another man in her old neighborhood and therefore she used to visit her parents house frequently to carry her illicit relations without any hindrance.

He said that he was depressed with his wife’s behavior and therefore he finally decided to eliminate her. A case was registered and the accused was arrested. (UNI)
