NIA crackdown on Islamic & khalistani ultras, raids in Hyderabad to Punjab

New Delhi: The anti-terror probe agency NIA on Thursday said that it has conducted search at the residence of arrested accused persons Md Nasir Khan and Imran Malik in New Mallepally under Habib Nagar, police station in Hyderabad in connection with Darbhanga Railway station blast case on June 30 and made recovery and seizures of various incriminating material and multiple digital devices.
The items recovered from the premises of the accused persons contained various documents pertaining to procedure for fabrication of IED and materials used for making of IEDs, the probe agency said in statement today.
According to a source in the probe agency, both accused, resident of Shamli in Uttar Pradesh, made the liquid bomb and parceled it to Darbhanga.
The agency suspects that they must have been in contact with some terror out fit in Pakistan.
The case was originally registered on June 17 at Railway police station at Darbhanga in Bihar relating to explosion in a parcel on Platform 1 of Darbhanga Railway station.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had re-registered the case on June 24 and initiated probe in this case.
NIA had had arrested two accused Mohd. Nasir Khan and Imran Malik on Thursday in connection with this case.
NIA raids 9 locations in Punjab, UP in Khalistani terrorists’ extortion case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday informed that it conducted searches at nine locations in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh in connection with a case of May 2021 relating to threat and extortion of money by Khalistani terrorists at Mehna area of Moga in Punjab.
A senior NIA official said, the searches were conducted at Beehla area of Barnala, Dala of Moga, Ghall Khurd and Satiawala areas in Ferozepur in Punjab, and Hastinapur and Udyawali in Uttar Pradesh.
“During the searches empty bullet cartridges, one polybag containing 122 grams of narcotic substance, digital devices including compact drives, mobile phones, sim cards and many incriminating documents have been recovered,” he said.
The NIA officials said during investigation three accused persons have been arrested and arms and ammunition were recovered at the instance of the arrested accused persons.
The case was originally registered on May 22 this year at Mehna police station in Moga district in under sections of 386, 387, 397 and 400 of Indian Penal Code, 1860, section 22 of NDPS Act, 1985 and sections 25(6), 25(7) of Arms Act, 1959 and added sections 10, 11,16 and 18(B) of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1959 and section 115 of Indian Penal Code, 1860, relating to information received by Punjab Police that Arshdeep Singh aka Arash of Dala of Moga, Charanjit Singh aka Rinku of Beehla in Barnala and Ramandeep Singh ak Jajj of Ferozepur, all currently abroad, had formed a gang and are threatening and extorting money from people.
NIA took over this case on June 10 and initiated the probe.All the three arrested accused are close associates of designated terrorist Hardeep Singh aka Nijjar, who is the chief of Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) who has been declared terrorist by the Indian authorities.
The arrested accused persons had killed three businessmen based in Punjab and they had identified other targets as well.(UNI)
