Lakhimpur Kheri: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait has threatened to launch a large scale agitation in the country if the guilty people in the October 3 violence are not arrested within the next six days.
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, the BKU leader said "we will not stay calm till the culprits are punished, those who are responsible for the killing of the farmers."
He said UP government will have to arrest the people involved in crushing the farmers by their vehicles even if he is a son of the Union Minister.
Rakesh Tikait had visited the house of deceased farmer Gurvinder Singh of Moharnia in Bahraich late on Tuesday evening.
The cremation of the mortal remains of Gurvinder Singh were done on Wednesday after the doctors did the postmortem for the second time on Tuesday.
