Aryan Khan drug case: NCB vigilance to probe 25 crore bribery charges against Sameer Wankhede, others

Mumbai: A vigilance team of the Narcotics Control Bureau has initiated a probe into the multi-crore bribery charges levelled by cruise drugs case independent witness, informed NCB Deputy Director General (SW Region) Gyaneshwar Singh.
Talking to media persons here, he stated that witness Prabhakar Sail accused that the NCB officials, involved in probing the cruise case, demanded Rs 25 crore in lieu of releasing accused Aryan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan.
Hence, an order has been given to conduct a departmental inquiry into the allegation against probing officer Sameer Wankhede.
Talking about the suspension of Mr Wankhede, he told that any decision in the matter will be taken after the five-member vigilance team gets incriminating evidence.
Meanwhile, a case was already filed against Mr Sail’s employer K P Gosavi after the former alleged that the latter took Rs 50 lakh from an individual after the October 3 nautical action.
So far, 20 people have been arrested in the case, including two girls. (UNI)
