Two CRPF Jawans injured in encounter with Maoists in Bokaro

Bokaro: Two Jawans of the CRPF were seriously injured in an encounter which took place between the security forces and ultras belonging to the proscribed CPI Maoists in the forest areas under Jageshwar Bihar Police Station area of this district.
Police sources said that the two CRPF jawans have been identified as Satyendra Singh and Vishnu Singh. Both of them have been admitted at Medica Hospital Ranchi for treatment.
Police sources said that the encounter between the two sides took place in forests of Tuti Jharia and Jhumra hills. Police said that a tip-off had been received that Maoists had gathered in the area and were planning to execute a major crime after which a joint team of police and CRPF conducted raids.
As soon as the ultras saw the police they opened fire in which two jawans sustained bullet injuries. Search and combing operations were on in the area. (UNI)
