UP gangster’s 21-yr-old daughter died after police raid; Autopsy finds injury and scratch marks in jaw and neck

Chandauli: A case has been lodged against an officer of the Uttar Pradesh after a 24-year-old woman allegedly died due to police thrashing.
A police spokesman said: "The autopsy was conducted by three doctors... In the report we found scratch marks on the front side of the neck and a 0.5 centimeter injury below the left jaw."
He added: "The viscera has been preserved as the cause of death is not clear."
The Station House Officer at the Saiyadraja police station, Uday Pratap Singh, has been suspended and an inquiry has been ordered after the daughter of a known criminal whose house was being searched was found dead allegedly after police thrashing.
Superintendent of Police Ankur Agarwal said stern action will be taken if any policeman was found guilty in the incident.
A police team raided alleged gangster Kanhaiya Yadav's house in Manrajpur village here on Sunday.
"During the search the women of the family clashed with the police. Later, the team detained Kanhaiya's brother. Kanhaiya's elder daughter Gudiya died after the raid while her 18-year-old sister Gunja slit her wrist. Agitated, local residents blocked the Amra-Jamania road and damaged several vehicles. They also assaulted the policeman," a police officer said.
Locals alleged that the daughter of Kanhaiya Yadav was found dead in her house. They alleged she was beaten by the SHO. (UNI)
