UP reports 797 new Covid cases, govt to lift Curfew from all districts

Lucknow: The government has announced to lift Coronavirus curfew in all the 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh from Wednesday as the state witnessing a downward trend of the contagion.
As many as 797 fresh Covid 19 cases were reported in the state on Tuesday while a total of 2,226 people have recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours.
State additional chief secretary information Navneet Sehgal said, now all the districts have less than 600 active cases each.
Yesterday, only 3 districts--Lucknow, Meerut, and Gorakhpur--had more than 600 active cases while the rest had less than that.
But today, these three districts also reported less than 600 active cases.
The number of active cases in Lucknow is 592.
Mr Sehgal said yesterday that 2,84,911 sample tests were done with the positivity rate coming down to 0.2 per cent and recovery rate going up to 97.9 per cent. Total tests in the state have gone up to 5,19,08,115.
A total of 4,57,085 people were vaccinated yesterday and 2,07,11,683 people were vaccinated to date in the state. (UNI)
