Uttar Pradesh: Man beaten to death in Jaunpur, 3, including 2 women, arrested

Jaunpur: Three persons including two women have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man allegedly in Madiyahon Kotwali area of Jaunpur district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Wednesday.

Ram Naresh (50), who worked as a mason, went to meet his friend Vinod Gautam, a resident of Bhawanipur, on Tuesday night.

Ram Naresh had a row with Vinod, which turned into a scuffle. Vinod assaulted Ram Naresh with an iron rod, injuring him seriously, the sources said.

The police rushed Ram Naresh to a community health center where he died, leading to the arrests of Pattar Gautam, his wife Geeta Devi and daughter Soni Devi. Vinod is absconding. (UNI)
