New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday promised free electricity in Punjab if his party is voted to power in the state Assembly election next year.
The AAP leader, who is scheduled to visit Chandigarh tomorrow, claimed that women in Punjab are very unhappy with inflation.
Taking to twitter, Mr Kejriwal posted in Punjabi, 'Women in Punjab are very unhappy with inflation. It is very difficult for a woman to run her house in such a situation. In Delhi, we provide 200 units of free electricity to every family. The women are very happy. The AAP government will also provide free electricity in Punjab. See you in Chandigarh tomorrow.'
Punjab is slated to go to polls in February or March next year. (UNI)
