Dhaka : The Bangladesh cricketers, led by star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, called off the ongoing strike over salary and other facilities. After the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) assured to meet all the demands, the players took this step, which also cleared the suspicion over their tour of India.
The deadlock between the players and the BCB came to an end after a 2-hour meeting on Wednesday. According to This agreement Bangladesh team T20 and Test tour of India, starting on November 3, will go as per the plan and the players will join the preparation camp on Friday.

Apart from Shakib, senior players like Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and Tamim Iqbal attended the meeting. Players also made 2 additional demands after putting 11 demands on Monday, stating that they also need a percentage share in BCB's revenue and equal pay for women cricketers.

BCB President Hassan made no commitments on the 2 latest demands but said the initial 11 demands would be met. The players also demanded to hold elections in the players' association, which the BCB agreed to.

Shakib said that we told him that there should be CWAB elections (players' association). We want a representative from the current players so that our problems can be regularly discussed with the board. It is best for players.
