13th July, Tuesday will be a day to remember for Irish cricket for a long time as they defeated South Africa by 43 runs in the second ODI after the 1st was washed out due to rain. It is their first-ever win over Proteas in ODIs.
Batting first Ireland managed to pile up a challenging score of 290 runs on a sporting pitch of Dublin. In reply south, Africa was not only bundled out for 247 but also failed to play the stipulated quota of 50 overs. This win also opened the Irish account in the ICC ODI super league with 10 points.
