A dinner menu from the Indian Air Force’s 93rd anniversary celebrations has gone viral. The creatively crafted menu is widely shared online on Wednesday evening, appears to have been from one of the Air Force Day events held at an undisclosed location.

The menu playfully took a dig at Pakistan by naming each dish after cities and terror sites targeted during Operation Sindoor and 2019 Balakot airstrike.

Printed under the Indian Air Force crest, the menu featured Rawalpindi Chicken Tikka Masala, Rafiqui Rhara Mutton, Bholari Paneer Methi Malai, Sukkur Sham Savera Kofta,  Sargodha Dal Makhani, Jacobabad Mewa Pulao, Bahawalpur Naan as main course and Balakot Tiramisu, Muzaffarabad Kulfi Faluda,  Muridke Meetha Pan as desserts.

Each name — from Rawalpindi and Balakot to Bahawalpur and Muridke — references cities and terror hubs struck during the India’s military operations.

Operation Sindoor, carried out on May 7 this year, targeted nine key terrorist strongholds in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir — including Muridke and Bahawalpur, the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. The precision airstrikes also hit multiple locations across Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bhimber, Rawalakot, and the Neelum Valley.

Earlier, on February 26, 2019, India had conducted the Balakot airstrike in response to the Pulwama terror attack that claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel. The strike destroyed a major Jaish-e-Mohammed training facility in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Air Force Day 2025

During the Air Force Day celebrations, Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh hailed Operation Sindoor as a “moment of immense pride” for the nation.

Tracing the force’s journey from its inception in 1932, he recalled the IAF’s valor in key moments of history — from defending Kashmir in 1947, to decisive roles in 1965, 1971, Kargil (1999), Balakot (2019), and now Operation Sindoor (2025).

“In every era, the Indian Air Force has displayed unmatched courage and precision, upholding the nation’s honour and glory,” he said.
