In the five matches of the series so far, which India leads 4-1, Chahal and Yadav have already bagged 30 wickets together which is the most by India's spinners in a bilateral series. The previous most was 27 wickets in the six-match series against England at home in 2006.
The only other time when the Indian spinners took more wickets away from home was in the 2011 World Cup where they amassed 34 scalps. Also, the 16 wickets scalped by Yadav is the most ever by a spinner in any series in South Africa as he surpassed 14 wickets by Muttiah Muralitharan in the tri-series involving the home side and Pakistan in 1998. The men in blue will take on hosts South Africa for the final time in the series at SuperSport Park, Centurion on Friday.(UNI)
