Clouds of uncertainty looms large over fourth's day play of WTC Final

Likewise, on Friday, the rain has kept waiting cricket fans for the high octane battle of test cricket to start between India and Newzealand. Ever since the first day (18th June) was washed out the bad light too has played a spoilsport on the first two days of the world test championship final. 

The forecast is not looking great at all for the play to resume and the whole day may be washed out again. According to the met department, there is a passage of time of clear weather but that can kill all the time in draining out the water.

However, the India side would not mind the showers as Newzealand have an edge in the WTC final after it posted 101 runs at the cost of his two openers. Devon Conway and Tom Latham survived the initial onslaught of Indian pace bowling and returned to the pavilion after playing approx 100 balls and putting on 70 on the board.

Devon Conway (54) continued with his purple patch and scored his 2nd half-century in the third test before chipping Ishant's good length ball to Mid on. While R Ashwin scalped Tom Latham (30) 4th time in the test cricket.

Earlier, Kyle Jamieson's five-wicket haul (5/31) helped New Zealand bowl out India for 217 in their first innings on day three of the World Test Championship final, on Sunday.

Resuming the day at 146 for three, India were bowled out in the 93rd over shortly after lunch.

Ravindra Jadeja was the last man to be dismissed on 15.

In the first session, Kohli could not add to his overnight 44, was trapped in front of stumps by Jamieson. Pant, on the other hand, played a loose drive to get caught at slip by Tom Latham.

Ajinkya Rahane (49 off 117) seemed to have got through a tough patch and played some good shots but threw his wicket away to be caught at square leg off Wagner.R Ashwin chipped in with a valuable 22 off 27 in difficult conditions.
