COVID-19: India records lowest single-day rise in 3 months

New Delhi: The Health Ministry data on Tuesday showed while 4,417 new Covid-19 cases were reported, 6,032 people recuperated from the disease.
This is the second time since June 5 (4,518) that just over 4,000 cases have been registered amid fluctuating counts with the highest numbers recorded on August 31 (20,616) in the mean.
According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,44,66,862 while recoveries touched 4,38,86,496.
The overall toll rose to 5,28,030 as 23 more succumbed to the disease.
While the active caseload stands at 52,336, the recovery rate stands at 98.69 per cent.
As per the bulletin, 88.77 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 213.72 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
