COVID-19: India logs 6,168 new cases, 21 deaths in 24 hrs

New Delhi: As many as 6,168 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in India, the Health Ministry said on Friday.
The total caseload rose to 4,44,36,507 while the overall toll touched 5,27,932 as 21 more succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand, 9,685 people recuperated from the viral infection, taking the tally of cured to 4,38,55,365.
The recovery rate stands at 98.68 per cent and the active caseload stands at 59,210, ministry figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 88.64 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 212.75 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine till date under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
