COVID-19: India logs new 7,591 cases, 30 more succumbs to death in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has recorded 7,591 new Covid-19 cases taking its overall active caseload to 84,931 as per the Health Ministry data on Monday.
As many as 30 more people succumbed to the virus, taking the toll to 5,27,799 as the overall tally of infections touched 4,44,15,723.
With 9,206 more recoveries the total recoveries stood at 4,38,02,993 whereas the recovery rate stood at 98.62 per cent.
On the vaccination front, the government has been continuously speeding up the vaccination drive across the country.
According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry on Monday, 88.52 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. A total of 1,65,751 new tests were conducted.
“India has administered 211.91 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine (94.19 crore Second Dose and 15.43 crore Precaution Dose ), so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said. (UNI)
