New Delhi:BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has praised all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who played a crucial cameo to help India win in a tense series decider against the West Indies in Cuttack. While praising the all-rounder, Ganguly said that Ravindra Jadeja's improved batting will be very important for the Indian team going into the future.
On Sunday evening, Jadeja held his nerves and played an unbeaten knock of 39 runs as India chase down a big target of 316 with four wickets in hand at the Barabati Stadium. "Another win @bcci...congratulations..good performances with the bat in a pressure game..jadeja s improvement with the bat so important ..." Ganguly tweeted after India's victory.
Jadeja, who was not known for playing big shots at the start of his career, has changed his batting drastically in the past few years. He has now scored 2188 runs in ODIs and 1844 in Test matches.In all, Jadeja has 25 half-centuries (14 in Tests and 11 in ODIs) along with a hundred in the longest format.(UNI)
