Lucknow:Afghanistan Under-19 beat India Under-19 in the fifth and final
Youth ODI of the series by two wickets at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B ground here on Saturday.
Afghanistan's win the final game meant that India, who had taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series after winning the fourth Youth ODI, won the series 3-2.India were bowled out for 157 after skipper Shubhang Hegde won the toss and elected to bat.
Abid Mohammadi gave Afghanistan their first breakthrough as he dismissed Arjun Azad for 8 in the 8th over. India were then reduced to 63/5 as Noor Ahmad and Shafiqullah Ghafari scalped two wickets each.
While Vikrant Bhadoriya and Hegde put up a 46-run stand, helping India cross the hundred-run mark, the partnership was broken when Arif Khan dismissed Bhadoriya for 29 in 32nd over.
Afghanistan lost their openers Farhan Zakhil and Sediqullah Atal early in the chase. However, Imran and Asif Musazai steadied the Afghanistan innings with a 49-run partnership before Manav Suthar dismissed Imran for 31 in the 14th over.
