IPL 2020: Kohli stars in RCB’s 37 run win, KKR beat KXIP by 2 runs in nail-biting thriller

Dubai: Royal Challengers Bangalore produced a clinical all-round performance to beat Chennai Super Kings by 37 runs to register the 4th win of the IPL 2020, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, here.

Batting first, Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a total of 169-4 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli scored 90 off 52 while Devdutt Padikkal (33 off 34) and Shivam Dube (22* off 14) also played important knocks and helped RCB post a fighting total in Dubai.

In reply, Chennai Super Kings crumbled under the scoreboard pressure and could only reach 132/8 in 20 overs. CSK have now lost five of their first seven matches.

With this win, RCB moved to the 4th spot in the points table.

Earlier in the day, Half centuries from Skipper Dinesh Karthik 58 off 29 balls and Shubman Gill 57 off 47 and fourth wicket partnership of 82 runs between duo and fine bowling spell by Prasidh Krishna 3/29 and Narine 2/28 helped KKR beat Kings XI by 2 runs in the 24th match of IPL at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

KKR won their 4th game from 6 matches rise to No 3 spot from 4th in the IPL table while Kings XI lost their sixth match from seven games are at the bottom.

 
KKR posted 164/6 in 20 over while Kings XI were reduced to 162/5 losing the match by 2 runs. (UNI)
