Bengaluru: The stage is set for an exciting clash between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at Sawai Mansigh Stadium here on Sunday.

RR is bolstered by the return of key players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Dhruv Jurel, who had successful stints with the Indian cricket team. Unfortunately, they will miss the services of pacer Prasidh Krishna due to injury.

Avesh Khan and Devdutt Padikkal will face their former teams for the first time after a trade swap before the IPL 2024 auction.

Jaiswal was the top run-getter for RR in the previous edition of the IPL, showcasing his prowess as an uncapped player. Riyan Parag was the top run-getter in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023, indicating his form coming into the IPL.

Skipper Sanju Samson has a good track record at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, being the top-scorer for RR at that venue. Chahal emerged as the most successful bowler for RR in IPL 2023, with a significant contribution to the team's bowling attack.

On the flip side, KL Rahul returns to lead LSG after missing the second half of the last season due to injury.

The team boasts a strong opening combination with Quinton de Kock and Devdutt Padikkal, along with the availability of Kyle Mayers.

Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni are expected to play crucial roles in the middle order for LSG. All-rounders Marcus Stoinis and Krunal Pandya add depth to LSG's squad.

The bowling department is led by the likes of Naveen-ul-Haq, Shamar Joseph, Shivam Mavi, and spin wizard Ravi Bishnoi.

Trent Boult, Avesh, Ashwin, and Chahal provide LSG with a formidable bowling attack.
