Since then, many cricketers have tried to replicate Suryakumar's spectacular catch, but recently, a Pakistani cricketer was brutally trolled on social media after failing miserably in his attempt.

In a recent incident during the Champions Cup 2024 match between the Panthers and Dolphins at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, Pakistani cricketer Saim Ayub tried to mimic Suryakumar’s catch. The strange part was that even after the ball landed in his hands, he inexplicably threw it away, and his attempt went in vain.

The incident took place in the 18th over of the Dolphins' innings, when Muhammad Akhlaq hit a high shot off Usama Mir. Ayub, positioned at long-off, successfully caught the ball, but in an attempt to imitate Suryakumar's dramatic catch, he accidentally tossed the ball over the boundary, resulting in the batsman being awarded six runs.

Due to Ayub's misfielding and the failed attempt, he became the subject of widespread trolling on social media, with fans making fun of his blunder.
