Sharjah:Trailblazers Skipper Smriti Mandhana 68 and Salma Khatun 3/18 stole the show beating two time champions Supernovas by 16 runs in the finals to become the new champions of the Women's T20 Challenge Trophy at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, here on Monday.
Earlier losing the toss, Trailblazers batted scoring 118/9 in 20 overs while Supernovas were stopped at 102/7 snatching victory from Supernovas.
For Supernovas Radha Yadav ended with figures of five for 16 in four overs and became the first player to record a five-wicket haul in Women's T20 Challenge but her efforts were spoiled by Trailblazers batters.(UNI)
