Rawalpindi: Skipper Babar Azam (51) and Haider Ali (66 not out) helped Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by eight wickets in the second T20 match on Sunday, in a three-match series unbeaten 2-0 & Took unassible lead.
Zimbabwe scored 134 for seven from 20 overs with Ryan Berle's unbeaten 32, Wesley Madhevre's 24 and Elton Chigumbra's 18 runs. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf took three wickets for 31 runs and Usman Qadir took three wickets for 23 runs.
Pakistan achieved the target by scoring 137 runs for two wickets in 151 overs. Chasing the target, Azam and Ali shared a 100-run match-winning unbeaten partnership for the second wicket. Azam scored his second consecutive half-century. Azam hit eight fours and a six in 51 runs off 28 balls while Ali hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in an unbeaten 66 off 43 balls. Khushdil Shah remained unbeaten on 11 runs.Hyder Ali received the Player of the Match award.
