Whenever Kohli and Kane have met in ICC tournaments- It rained

Indian Skipper Virat Kohli and Newzealand captain Kane Williamson shares a special bonding. Despite being a competitor on the field both are friendly off the field. Whenever the two greatest batsmen of the modern-day era faced off each other, cricket witnesses a contest that is thundering while the same can be said for the weather as far as ICC tournaments are concerned. 

Since the year 2008, Kane and Kohli had a wet outing in ICC tournaments. The very first instance was ICC under 19 cricket world cup semi-final when both were sweating it hard to make it big and book a berth in the senior team. Virat Kohli got the better off Kane Williamson in that tournament and team India emerged victorious by 3 wickets. So Kohli drew the first blood in 2008, Kane punched with a come back in 2019, now 2021 is most likely to be, even stevens, that is poetic justice. Interestingly The duo who are part of the modern-day great club "Fab four" is good friends off the field.

But when it comes to on-field contest, the captains ensure no stone is unturned. This is the reason an intriguing battle of the top spot in the test ranking was also witnessed between both. At present Williamson who has just lost his numero uno rank to Aussie middle-order batsman, steve smith is a touch ahead of Virat who is placed at number 4 in ICC test batsmen Ranking.

Out of 83 test matches, Kane has scored 7115 runs at an average of 54.31 with the help of 24 centuries and 32 half-centuries.
