Sonia Gandhi joined the yatra from Mandya in the morning. The Karnataka-leg of the yatra began on October 1. She had reached Mysuru on Monday afternoon and had visited Bheemana Kolli Temple near Mysuru to offer prayers on the occasion of Vijayadashami yesterday.

She also visited Bandipur Tiger Reserve yesterday with her son Rahul Gandhi.

The yatra had commenced after a break of two days because of Dasara celebrations.

This is the first time Sonia Gandhi is participating in a public event after a long hiatus. She had contracted coronavirus twice and was also hospitalized. (UNI)
