After Uddhav Thackeray’s resignation from the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Thursday took potshots at the Shiv Sena chief.
Taking to Instagram, the Dhaakad actress shared a video with a caption: “When evil takes over, destruction is imminent. After that, there is creation. The lotus of life blooms.”
Comparing Maharashtra's political scenario to Jayaprakash Narayan's 1975 movement, Kangana said, "After 1975, this time is the most important time of India's democracy."
The actress went on to say, "In 2020, I had said that democracy is a faith and one who breaks this faith in the pride of power, his pride will surely be broken."
"Hanuman ji is considered to be the twelfth avatar of Lord Shiva. So, when Shiv Sena decides to ban Hanuman Chalisa, then even Lord Shiva can't save them," she concluded.
Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday night resigned after the Supreme Court refused to stay Governor’s direction to his government to take a floor test in the Assembly on Thursday.
In a press conference, former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday announced that Shiv Sena rebel leader Eknath Shinde will be the new Maharashtra Chief Minister.
