Mumbai: Shanaya Kapoor, a scion of the celebrated Kapoor film dynasty, is gearing up to break through with "Tu Yaa Main" and is paired against BAFTA-nominated Adarsh Gaurav.
Directed by Bejoy Nambiar and produced under the banner of Colour Yellow, known for acclaimed films like "Tumbbad" and "Haseen Dillruba". This project also marks the first collaboration between Nambiar and acclaimed Anand L. Rai.
A recently unveiled teaser brings out the film's haunting mise-en-scène, set against the backdrop of spectral backwaters, hinting a narrative laced with both seduction and trepidation. Produced by Himanshu Sharma and penned by Abhishek Bandekar, "Tu Yaa Main" explores themes of love, fear and survival.
Filmmaker Aanand L. Rai expressed that Colour Yellow is dedicated to exploring innovative storytelling. Speaking about Tu Yaa Main, he highlighted that the film thrives on unpredictability, bringing together two exceptionally talented actors in a narrative that defies conventions.
Rai further explained that the team sought performers who could not only capture the emotional depth of their characters but also deliver it with a natural intensity. He emphasised that Adarsh and Shanaya were the ideal choices for these roles, given their strong screen presence and the qualities they represent both on and off the screen.
Known for his distinct visual storytelling, Nambiar is expected to push creative boundaries with this project, adding to his repertoire of psychological dramas. With "Tu Yaa Main" slated for a Valentine’s Day 2026 release, the film promises an edge-of-the-seat experience that blends romance with haunting suspense.
