COVID-19: India logs 4,194 new cases, 255 deaths in 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has recorded 4,194 new Covid-19 cases, the Union Health Ministry said on Friday.
According to the bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,29,84,261, while the death toll stands at 5,15,714 as 255 succumbed to the disease.
Total 6,208 patients have recovered from the disease, taking the total tally to 4,24,26, 328. The recovery rate stands at 98.70 per cent.
The active caseload currently stands at 42,219, the figures showed. According to the bulletin, 77.68 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 179.72 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
