COVID-19: India logs 6,093 new cases, active caseload declines to 49,636

New Delhi: India recorded 6,093 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of active caseload to 49,636 as per the Health Ministry data on Friday.
As many as 18 fresh fatalities were reported, taking the toll to 5,28,121.
A total of 6,768patients recovered, taking total recoveries to 4,39,06,972as the national recovery rate stood at 98.7 per cent.
According to the bulletin, 88.87 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,16,504 tests have been conducted.
"India has administered 214.55 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine (94.46 crore second dose and 17.73 crore precaution dose), so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," Ministry data said. (UNI)
