COVID-19: India records 2,876 cases, 98 deaths in 24 hrs

New Delhi: As many as 2,876 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the country, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
According to the Ministry's bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,29,98,938 while the death toll rose to 5,16,072 as 98 more people succumbed to the disease.
Meanwhile, 3,884 more people recovered from the disease during the same period, taking the total tally of recoveries to 4,24,50,055. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.72 per cent.
The active caseload in the country currently stands at 32,811, the figures showed.
According to the bulletin, 78.05 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 180.60 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
