COVID-19: Maharashtra sees fall in fresh infections, logs 2,345 cases in last 24 hrs

Aurangabad/Mumbai: Maharashtra has recorded 2,345 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths in the past 24 hours, health official said here on Tuesday.
With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 79,38,103 and the death toll goes up to 1,47,888.
Meanwhile, 1485 cured patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 77,65,602.
The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.84 per cent and fatality rate 1.86 per cent.
Presently, 24,000 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, 20 positive patients were reported including 13 in Latur, 5 positive patients in Aurangabad and 2 in Osmanabad district , while no one patient was reported in the rest of 5 districts of Marathwada region of state ,the bulletin further added. (UNI)
