Fresh COVID cases slumped to 2,202 and 27 succumbs

New Delhi: As many as 2,202 people tested positive for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Monday. According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,31,23,801 while the death toll rose to 5,24,241 as 27 more succumbed to the disease.
On a positive note, 2,550 more people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 4,25,82,243. The recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent. The active caseload stands at 17,317, the figures showed. As per the bulletin, 84.41 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. India has administered 191.37 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
