India sees dip in COVID-19 tally, reports 16,866 cases in 24 hrs

New Delhi: A total of 16,866 people tested positive for Covid-19 in India during the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Monday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,39,05,621 while the death toll increased to 5,26,074 as 41 people succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand, 18,418 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally to 4,32,28,670. The recovery rate stands at 98.46 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 1,50,877, the figures stated.
As per the bulletin, 87.27 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 202.17 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
