Maharashtra reports 3,640 new Covid cases, 3 deaths in 24 hrs

Aurangabad/Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 3,640 new Covid-19 case and 3 related deaths, according to health bulletin on Friday.
With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 79,76,114 and the death toll has gone up to 1,47,925.
Meanwhile, 4,432 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 78,03,949.
The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.82 per cent and fatality rate 1.85 per cent.
So far 8,20,01,686 total samples have been tested in the state and of them 79,76,114 have tested as positive i.e. 9.73 percent .
Presently, 24,940 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile in Marathwada region 97 positive Covid cases were reported including 42 cases in Aurangabad district followed by 23 positive cases in Osmanabad district, 18 in Latur, 9 in Nanded district and 5 in Jalna district, the bulletin further added. (UNI)
